Compassionate Care When Your Pet Needs It Most

When your pet isn’t feeling well, waiting for an appointment isn’t always an option. Our Urgent Care team is here to provide prompt, compassionate medical care for illnesses and injuries that require same-day attention but are not life-threatening emergencies.

We welcome walk-in patients during Urgent Care hours. If you’re unsure whether your pet needs urgent or emergency care, give us a call. Our team will help you determine the safest and most appropriate next step.

Common Reasons to Visit Our Urgent Care

Our veterinarians can evaluate and treat a variety of non-life-threatening conditions, including:

  • Vomiting or diarrhea
  • Ear infections or eye irritation

  • Minor wounds, cuts, or abrasions
  • Sudden limping or mobility concerns
  • Allergic reactions, including hives, swelling, or itching
  • Urinary discomfort or urinary accidents
  • Loss of appetite or unusual lethargy
  • Skin infections, hot spots, and rashes

What to Expect During Your Visit

Quick Check-In

Walk-ins are welcome during Urgent Care hours. Calling ahead allows us to prepare for your arrival.

Triage & Assessment

Upon arrival, our veterinary team will perform an initial assessment and prioritize patients based on the severity of their condition to ensure those needing immediate attention receive prompt care.

Advanced On-Site Diagnostics

Our hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic technology to quickly identify your pet’s condition, including:

  • Digital X-rays
  • Bloodwork
  • Ultrasound
  • Cytology
  • Parasite Screening
  • Personalized Treatment Plan

Once we’ve evaluated your pet, we’ll explain our findings, discuss treatment options, answer your questions, and create a care plan tailored to your pet’s needs.

Coordination with Your Family Veterinarian

If your pet has a primary care veterinarian, we’ll communicate important medical findings and treatment recommendations to help ensure seamless follow-up care.

Some medical conditions require immediate emergency treatment. If your pet is experiencing any of the following symptoms, seek emergency veterinary care immediately such as Blue Pearl of Augusta or CVETS in Columbia:

  • Difficulty breathing

  • Seizures
  • Persistent or severe vomiting and diarrhea
  • Severe pain
  • Loss of consciousness

  • Trauma or serious injury
